Shipping Information

All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand. We aim to ship all orders within 1-3 working days; please note that online orders will not be processed over weekends or public holidays. While delays during regular shopping periods are uncommon, they might occur due to stock transfers necessitated by sourcing products from our stores based on stock availability.

During peak promotional and holiday periods, we kindly ask for your understanding and suggest allowing 3+ business days for your order to be dispatched. Rest assured, your order is our top priority and will be dispatched at the earliest opportunity.

When providing your shipping information, please ensure a physical address is provided, with someone present to sign for your item during the delivery hours of 9am - 5pm on weekdays. Karen Walker accepts no liability for parcels if customers have granted DHL or NZ Post the authority to leave their parcel without a signature.

Please enter your shipping details carefully during checkout. If your details are entered incorrectly, we cannot guarantee that changes can be made in time, as our warehouse team strives to dispatch all orders promptly. Please email shopnow@karenwalker.com immediately with your correct details, and we will make every effort to amend this before your order is shipped.

Once your order has dispatched, you will receive an email containing your tracking link. Please use this to follow the status of your parcel.

Packaging

Most purchases from karenwalker.com will arrive wrapped in kraft paper and placed inside a Karen Walker corrugated cardboard box. Both the kraft paper and the box are fully recyclable and printed using only vegetable-based inks. The boxes are constructed using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified cardboard containing a minimum of 60% post-consumer waste.

Taxes & Duties

Karen Walker bears no responsibility for import duties, charges, or taxes accrued at the recipient's end. Such charges can differ based on each country's customs regulations; please consult your local customs authority before making a purchase. Declining payment for requested fees will lead to the return of your order, and a $150 NZD refund will be subtracted from your order to account for the refusal fee and return shipping cost. Please note that refusing taxes on orders totalling less than $150 NZD will render you ineligible for a refund.

Perfume Shipments

When purchasing perfume from Karen Walker please be aware that your parcel will be categorised as a dangerous goods shipment. To meet NZ Post and DHL's strict shipping requirements, your order might encounter a brief dispatch delay while our packing team ensures your parcel is boxed and labelled correctly. Additionally, the dangerous goods classification might cause minor delays as your parcel undergoes customs processing.

Before submitting your return form, please ensure the following return conditions are met:

  • All returns must be delivered to us within 14 days from your delivery date.
  • Returned garments must be in their original condition: unaltered, unworn, and unwashed, with all tags attached.
  • Footwear must be unworn with no scuffing or signs of wear and be returned in their original box.
  • Only items directly purchased from karenwalker.com are eligible for return; items bought from physical stores, Karen Walker stockists, or The Market will not be accepted.
  • Karen Walker Jewellery is not eligible for return or a refund due to health and safety reasons.
  • Perfume is not eligible for return or a refund due to health and safety reasons.
  • Flash sale purchases are not eligible for a refund or store credit.

Returns that do not meet the above criteria will be declined and sent back at the customer's cost.

Full Priced Items

Full priced returns are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method or store credit, within our return period.

Sale Items

Sale returns are only eligible for a store credit and must be returned within our return period. Store credit is valid for three months. Flash sale purchases are not eligible for a store credit.

Exchanges

Regrettably, we're unable to facilitate exchanges for online purchases. Please initiate a return within our specified return period for a refund or store credit and proceed to purchase your desired size or style from our website. Alternatively, you are welcome to exchange your order at one of our physical Karen Walker stores, subject to stock availability.

Return Shipping Costs

All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Returned packages that are lost in transit are not the responsibility of Karen Walker.

Returns to a Karen Walker Store

Auckland based customers are welcome to drop their returns at Karen Walker Newmarket, Britomart or Ponsonby. Returns at Karen Walker Wellington are unable to be accepted. Please note that our stores serve as drop-off points, and your return will be forwarded to our Online team who will issue your refund within five working days upon receipt.

Purchases made in store will be considered for credit or exchange due to change-of-mind within seven days of purchase.

Items being requested for credit or exchange must have proof of purchase from a Karen Walker store. Only items directly purchased from karenwalker.com or from Karen Walker stores will be considered for credit or exchange.

Items being requested for credit or exchange, including those with exchange cards, must be in their original condition: unaltered, unworn, and unwashed, with all tags attached and original packaging included.

Karen Walker Jewellery may not be returned for credit or exchange due to change-of-mind unless it has an accompanying exchange card.

Fragrance may not be returned for credit or exchange due to change-of-mind unless it has an accompanying exchange card and is unopened.

Specially ordered items may not be returned for credit or exchange unless they are faulty.

Sale items may not be returned for credit or exchange unless they have a fault not declared at the time of purchase.

Credits and exchanges for items with gift exchange cards will be issued within the timeframe set out on the exchange card.

Returns will not be accepted if care instructions have not been followed; fault is due to wear and tear and/or warranty period has expired.

Eyewear

Follow these tips to keep your Karen Walker Sunglasses looking their best:

  • Try not to wear your sunglasses on top of your head as this will stretch the hinges.
  • Whenever setting down your frames, place them lens side up to avoid scratching.
  • Avoid leaving your sunglasses in the car, especially on hot days, to prevent warping.
  • To clean and protect your frames, use the sunglasses cloth provided.
  • When frames are not being worn, place them inside the protective case.

Jewellery

Wearing silver or gold jewellery:

  • Remove your jewellery when doing manual work, including housework and gardening.
  • Put on your jewellery after applying makeup, perfume and hairspray.
  • Always remove your jewellery before entering water, including the shower and swimming pools.
  • Remove jewellery before bed.
  • Jewellery should be the last thing you put on for the day and the first thing you take off when you get home.

Cleaning your jewellery:

  • If tarnishing occurs, you can clean your jewellery using jewellery cleaner or by soaking it soap and warm water.
  • Afterwards rub it gently with a soft cloth.

Storing your jewellery:

  • Store pieces separately in a jewellery box or bag to help avoid scratching by other items of jewellery

Accessories

Leather Care:
To ensure longevity of this product's finish please avoid contact with perfume, sunscreen and cosmetics. Markings, colours, shading and irregularities are characteristics of this leather and should not be considered faults. To clean, wipe with a clean soft cloth. When not in use, store in protective bag in cool dry place.

Jewellery Care:
To ensure longevity of the finish on this metal please avoid contact with perfume, sunscreen and cosmetics. When not in use store this piece separately from other jewellery.

Scarf Care:
All scarves are dry clean only (P).

Shoes

Waterproofing:

If you are intending to wear your shoes in snow or rain, apply a suitable waterproofing agent periodically. A good shoe store can recommend an appropriate waterproofing product.

Polishing:

Don't polish your shoes without cleaning them first - you will be rubbing dirt and stains into the polish, and into the shoes. Buy some saddle soap, and gently scrub your shoes clean with a brush or cloth. Saddle soap is specially designed to clean leather without damaging its sensitive surface, and will bring a nice, clean shine to your shoes.

Polish your leather shoes regularly to preserve moisture and maintain shine. Avoid using unsuitable liquid polish applicators on high quality leather uppers as these can potentially damage the surface of the leather and often create a lacquer, which is hard to remove.

Use a good cream or wax-based polish, which will produce a really brilliant shine.

Put a good amount of effort into it, adding small amounts of polish as you go. This will allow for a few layers of polish to build up, meaning the shine will have depth and last.

Leather

Leather is an organic material, and despite it being bleached, tanned and chemically treated in the process of styling, it's still a sensitive surface that needs your attention.

Leather soles will expand when wet. Avoid wet conditions during the first few wears of your new shoes. In the event that your leather soles do become very wet, ensure that they are allowed to dry out slowly and naturally, away from direct heat (i.e radiators).

Leather shoes can often take a day to dry out fully, whether it is from rain or natural perspiration. Where possible allow a day between wears and alternate with other shoes. Using wooden shoe trees in your shoes will.

A shoe horn can help to prevent damage to the heels, counter and top line.

Wrap a thin strip of paper around the finger you wish to wear the ring on. Mark on the paper where this overlaps to form a complete circle. Do not pinch. In the unfortunate and unlikely event we encounter a stock discrepancy, your order may be cancelled, we will contact you as promptly as possible to advise this is the case and to confirm your refund has been issued.

When converting prices to another currency or when an item is charged to a credit card, a slight price variation of between 2 and 5% may occur due to fluctuating exchange rates and credit card company charges. Karen Walker is not responsible for any exchange rate fees you may receive when placing an order with us.

We retain the right to modify our prices at our discretion. In rare instances where a product is listed at an incorrect price, we hold the right to cancel the respective order and provide a complete refund corresponding to the amount paid.

Fraudulent Orders

If we have reasonable grounds to believe your purchase is fraudulent, Karen Walker reserves the right to withhold to or cancel your order. In this instance, we may attempt to contact you depending on the level of fraud risk, using the email address provided at the time of purchase. Depending on your payment method, we will request proof of identity or the transaction authorization code before dispatching your order. Please note, your personal information remains private in accordance with our privacy policy and is only used to validate the transaction. If the information provided does not meet our identification requirements, your order will be cancelled.
